#Dyson chair#dyson
Neil Bezodis #392 Hi all, Just a quick e-mail to ask for any thoughts/ideas on who might be suitable people to ask to chair this year’s Dyson lecture. I just wondered if any of you knew of any ISBS members who had good links/relationship with Prof. Vilas-Boas and might be well placed to chair his lecture. No problem if no-one comes to mind but it’d be nice to have someone chairing it who knows him personally. Best wishes, Neil | ||
Knudson, Duane V #393 The obvious choices are awards committee member, one of his former students, or swimming scholars like Ross Sanders or Raul Arelllano. #394 I know that as an Associate Editor for Sports Biomechanics, he works closely with Daniel Fong. But there are likely better options. #395 As JP has published multiple times with Ross Sanders and Raul Arrelano, I’d agree with Duane that they could be likely candidates. Randall Jensen, PhD, FISBS, FACSM,CSCS Professor Emeritus, Sport & ExerciseScience - Retired Mobile: +1-906-250-2788 toggle quoted messageShow quoted text

#397 Hi there, I think Raul Arellano is probably the best option. Bruce Mason or Hideki Takagi could be other alternatives if they were going. The Marks will know who is registered. I exchanged a couple of emails with Ross Sanders last week since it was the first anniversary of us both retiring. I said I had just booked to come and expect he would have said if he was doing the same. He’s got a trip to Scotland planned in September, so unlikely to be looking to go twice. Cheers, Peter From:exec@isbs.groups.io <exec@isbs.groups.io> on behalf of Neil Bezodis via groups.io <n.e.bezodis@...> Hi all, Just a quick e-mail to ask for any thoughts/ideas on who might be suitable people to ask to chair this year’s Dyson lecture.
