What is SDN pre-med? ›

Student Doctor Network (SDN) was created by medical students in 1999 as a nonprofit service. Its goal: to provide free advising resources, tools, and a peer-support forum community to those who would otherwise not have access to such services.

For over 20 years, the Student Doctor Network forums community has provided aspiring and current health professional students with a home for admissions and education discussions.

Students on a pre-medical — or pre-med — track at university in the United States take required courses to qualify for medical school after earning their bachelor's degree. You don't have to major in biology or any STEM discipline to study to become a doctor, but you do have to fulfill specific pre-med requirements.
