Quick Level Up

This is a little trick where you can put your Pokemon in Daycare then keep moving to level them up quickly, here is how it works. Your Pokemon only level up when your character is in motion, in other words, they grow in experience while you are walking around. So, all you have to is move, and they grow in experience, and levels. So, ride your bike around everywhere, and leave it all night, with your character trying to go up a sand dune. Get something to press against the button, so that while you sleep, your character is still moving, and your Pokemon is growing levels. This trick is explained in more detailed here, along with a load of comments from visitor's experiences with this trick.

Its a big boulder, but a Pokemon may be able to push it aside

So, you've reached that part of the game where you are blocked by a massive rock and have no idea how to move it. You need to get the HM Strength. To get it, you must smash the rocks in Rusturf tunnel using Rock Smash. Then the guy in there will give you Strength, teach it to one of the compatible Pokemon and you'll be able to push boulders aside. You will also need the badge which allows you to use HM Strength outside of battle. You can get this at the Lavaridge Gym.
