What does this benefit cover?

Cellular Telephone Protection provides coverage up to $600 per claim twice per 12-month period for repairs or replacement due to accidental damage or theft. Cellular Telephone Protection is subject to a fifty-dollar ($50.00) deductible per claim. The maximum benefit limit is per claim and $1,200 per twelve (12) month period.

Does this protection cover “lost” phones?

No, it covers repairs or replacement due to accidental damage or theft.

Who is eligible for this coverage?

Benefits are available for the primary account holder and their joint account holder(s) through their account subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Guide to Benefit

What phones are eligible?

This benefit covers up to 4 phones listed on your cellular provider’s monthly billing statement.

Do I need to register my phones for this benefit?

No, this benefit is automatically available to you with your Central Plus Checking.

How long do members have to have a phone paid from an Idaho Central account for the protection to work?

A member’s cell phone bill must be paid through an Idaho Central Account the month prior to the damage or theft for the claim to be eligible.

Are phones purchased from 3rd parties such as Target, Best Buy or Walmart also covered?

Yes, phones purchased by the account holders can be covered as long as the number is listed on their cellular provider’s monthly billing statement.

Where do I go to file a claim?

Go to centralplusbenefits.iccu.com and access the Cellular Telephone Coverage page to file a claim within sixty (60) days of damage or theft.

What do I need to provide with my claim submission?

The following will be required:

• A copy of your Central Plus Checking statement for the month immediately preceding the time the damage or theft occurred.
• A repair receipt or repair estimate documenting the damage to your phone and the costs for repair or replacement.
• For theft claims, you will also need to provide a copy of the police report. The police report must be filed within 48 hours of the incident.

Can I repair/replace my phone before submitting a mobile phone coverage claim?

Yes, you can move forward with repairs or replacement, or you can wait until after your claim is filed and reimbursem*nt is received. But remember to submit your claim within 60 days of the incident and keep your receipt and the description of the damage to your phone provided by the repair facility – as a part of the claim process, you will need to submit your receipt and damage description for reimbursem*nt.

How long will it take to get my claim payment?

Once all required documentation for your claim has been received, you should receive reimbursem*nt from the Benefit Administrator within 5 to 10 business days.
